What is a quadratic diffuser?

A diffuser, unlike an absorber, offers a smoother and more energy efficient response to reverberation and reflection. Absorption, although very useful and an important tool, will inherently reduce the energy in the room. Too much absorption can take the “life” out of your music.

In the 1970s, a German physicist by the name of Manfred R. Schroeder developed what is now known as just the Schroeder Formula. We use this formula to design QRDs specific to your listening room. The number of wells, as well as the exact width and depth, all play a part.
